About Three Dog Bakery - Overview |
|
The Three Dog Bakery in Apex, North Carolina is one of about 40 stores that descend from the Orginal Bakery for Dogs started in 1989 by Dan Dye and Mark Beckloff. Our local store opened its doors in 2005, and we have quickly become a trusted dog resource within our community.
We take pride in being a store that the best veternarians can recommend and endorse. We are a place for free information, with a comfortable atmosphere (no florescent lights here!) and happy people. We bake and serve food that smells good to both you and your dog, and, best of all, is healthy for your pup. This is food for your dog, not just dog food. Our foods are true delicacies for "man's best friend"! We also carry unique gifts and toys that your dog will love.
Doesn't your dog deserve to be a little spoiled? Think about it: They never talk back; They're always happy to see you. They protect you. They love you. They're always ready to go with you. So why not bring your doggie in today? Three Dog Bakery is a place for both pets and their loving owners. Your pets are always welcome here.

My dream to adopt a retired racing Greyhound started years ago in Maine where I first met and fell in love with the breed. I put my dream away when we moved to North Carolina and I went to work.

In 1989, three dogs (Sarah, Dottie & Gracie), two guys (Dan Dye & Mark Beckloff) and one 59¢ biscuit cutter joined forces to create Three Dog Bakery— the world's original bakery for dogs.
Their "paw"pose? To save Gracie, their deaf, partially-blind, albino, anorexic Great Dane! Through trial and error, Mark and Dan managed to create healthful treats and food with everyday ingredients you or I would eat such as peanut butter, wheat flour, honey, fruits, and vegetables to produce the delicious all-natural, oven-baked food and treats.
Soon, Gracie, her sisters Sarah Jean and Dottie, and all their furry friends were enjoying fresh-baked treats that not only tasted good, but were good for them!
